Join our SYMSITES Replication Webinar to explore how four state-of-the-art EcoSites in Spain, Denmark, Greece, and Austria are putting Industrial Urban Symbiosis into action. This replication webinar aims to bring together local authorities and their public and private utility companies handling waste and wastewater as well as representatives from related industries needed to create symbiotic flows.
The paradigm is shifting from waste management to resource management, opening up new opportunities to connect value chains, processes, and actors across and within regions. This transition unlocks significant economic, social, and environmental potential by linking energy, wastewater, and resource flows into new systems of circular value.
However, achieving this level of resource productivity and integration is far from simple. Industrial Urban Symbiosis (I-US) introduces new technological, organizational, and governance challenges that must be tailored to local contexts.
